Thank You? No, Thank YOU!

My parents were big on manners and etiquette.
As soon as the wrapping paper was folded for another use
they encouraged us to send out thank you cards.

Helpful info here on how to compose one
(this post was purposely delayed so these cards would get there first)

These amazing yellow ware bowl cards are
from B Designs,
aren't they perfect?
Not only do I collect yellowware bowls,
 my married name is Boal!

I like to customize my cards
with a little watercolor illustration.

This to Jeff's sister and family
 who sent us an amazing
 food basket from Zabar's.
Every single item was delicious
and consumed in no time.

One of Jeff's work buddies sent his office
some frozen meats from Omaha Steaks,
they also included some beefy biscuits for Cheddar
(who loves hanging at the office)
He went crazy for those treats!
Who knew Omaha Steaks made dog biscuits?

You can buy this adorable letterpress one
they have other adorable designs
all at a very reasonable price
and a percentage of their profits go to charity.
thanks to them!

Our friend Wendy made some
 of the best biscotti
I have ever tasted,
and packaged them with
 some red and green M&Ms.
My feeling is that her kids contributed the candy.
Isn't that sweet?

My brother Fred and his family
gave us some luscious scarves from JCrew.
Jeff a handsome heathered plaid
and me a gray number with little rhinestones.
Yummy!

today I'd like to give a special thanks
to all my new bloggy friends.

No, no, no - Thank YOU. I'm so happy to have met you. And by the way...I have my grandmother's yellowware bowl...a true treasure from my childhood.
Have a very happy week, Abby.

It is really nice to be creative with your thank you notes. When I'm in good form, I write a poem!

Like you, I am most appreciate for the wonderful blogging buddies I've met in the 16 months I've been possessed by this wonderful medium. It's overtaken my life!

Those thank you cards are so cute and to the point; I love 'em. There is nothing like a written note. It becomes a personal connection between the Writer and the Reader.

I thoroughly enjoy reading your blog. As a matter of fact, I look for updates to it. Happy New Year Abby. I hope we continue our connection.

Beautiful cards and should remind us all that nothing takes the place of a handwritten note.

Glad to see that someone has not forgotten the "Thank You Note" Though we are a fast paced society and email is great for most correspondence, a hand written thank you note is a part of what makes the social in society. I recently made 125 hand burned coasters plus a money gift for my nieces wedding. My sister made 125 scented candles for the same wedding plus a money gift and 3 months later still no thank you note. It would have been nice to have that momento with the pictures. Thank you for your blog and for the special post.

What a timely reminder! I love your "bowl" card - so cute and obviously written with lots of love and appreciation.
Okay, where did I put my cards?...
