dances with wolves

“Of all the trails in this life,

there is one that matters most.

It is the trail of a true human being.

I think you are on this trail and it is good to see.”

    – Kicking Bird

"tatonka" taking a stroll
What a great movie.
We watched it last night and it reminded me
of one of my favorite places in the US.

in the Big Horn Mountain Range in Wyoming.
This spiritual place is believed
to be up to 800 years old.
You can feel something powerful
at this sacred spot on top of the world.
Visited there on one of my trips cross country,
I left there a different person.
 That was back in 1989,
right before this movie came out
which might be one of the reasons
 'Dances with Wolves'
 resonated with me.
The native Americans
have a spiritual side that I can relate to.

Medicine Wheel should be on your
Bucket list

Brother Eagle Soaring, from Arizona, explains the powerful impact of the healing wheel:
"If I said to you, ‘Does anyone ever make you angry?’ you would say yes. But in reality, this is totally impossible. You choose to be angry by the way you process the event."
wow, that's something to chew on
next time you want to chew someone out.

Check out this site for additional enlightenment

and check out the movie if you haven't seen it in a while
and have a spare 3 hours and 3 minutes
The Cherokee word for health - tohi - is the same as the word for peace. You’re in good health when your body is at peace.

another one of my favorite epic movies
even if Mel is a hot mess these days

My body is not at peace.
My sinuses are stuffed and my head aches.
Any homeopathic remedies welcome.
I'll be signing off now,

Hi Abby,
I hope your cold clears up soon! Stay warm and enjoy some comforting meals.

I've always understood that the native Americans (and our earlier generations) knew the connection of plants and astrology with human health. It's a shame that we've lost all that. (I am glad Medicine Wheel is protected!)

Best wishes.

Hot tea with ginger, either in the tea or eat burning hot Chinese or Indian food. I swear, it opens your sinuses and clears your head .. warms your belly and soothes you.
I just got over a 2 month throat/chest/head thing .. flu turned bad.
I am also a firm believer in drugs so take sinus meds, cough drops with menthol and Nyquil or whatever makes you sleep.
Take care, Doctor C ..
not really a doctor, but a Mom ... same thing sometimes :) .

I would love to see the Medicine Wheel in person. Fascinating!

I don't have any homeopathic remedies for you, but if you decide to try any OTC meds, I highly recommend Claritin D 24 hour. Last year, when I had the swine flu, it was the only thing that cleared up my sinuses and ears (a doctor rec'd it to me). I was nearly deaf for two weeks because I was so stuffed up. After taking the Claritin for 2 days, I could hear and breath again. I always keep it in the house, now.
