Living in the Present

is in full force here at Boalder Lodge.

If you are in the NYC area
maybe you would be interested
in being a secret Santa this year.

We still have letters to Santa,
from kids at PS55 in the Bronx, available.

They could really use your help
 with a warm coat,
 a pair of snow boots,
 a hat and scarf.
A game. A book. Some Crayons.

I think involving your family
to help those less fortunate
is the best gift you could give your kids.
It is much better to give than it is to receive.

This is my third year with Operation Santa
 and it is most definitely
the highlight of my holiday season.

If you are looking for a way to give back,
I'd highly recommend Operation Santa.
Give me a jingle and I can explain it to you.
If you are not in the NY area
I am sure there are plenty of ways
to give right there in your community.
It doesn't have to cost you a penny.
Anything helps to those in need.
Maybe it's an old jacket your kids have outgrown, some extra blankets that have not left the closet in years, one of the ten pairs of mittens you haven't lost...
consider dropping off anything you are not using at your local shelter.
They'll love you for it and you will look like a superhero to your kids, family and friends!

How true it is, it is good to give. Sounds like a program we have here, Santa's Anonymous......great charity.
Thanks for stopping by my blog!
I enjoyed the post on your family!!!

Thanks for the reminder of how important it is to give. I would like to do more giving this holiday season and every season. It is much more rewarding then spending money on myself. And when I can't afford to give money, I can always donate my time or talents.
